Parenting Seminar on Building Your Teen's Self-Esteem
Alma Community Care Programs

We're running out of chairs at our Parenting Seminars!

Attendance from families in the Greater Logan Heights community are finding hope through therapy and education, heard in the healing power of the gospel.  In 2024, 160 unique families attended 18 seminars at three schools.  That’s an increase of 60 families!  30% of these families attended two or more seminars.

Parents are realizing hard talks with teens don't have to be scary.  They’re learning techniques like keeping a soft tone of voice, listening without interrupting, and asking more questions as ways to connect and help teens through challenging situations and decisions.

They’re also learning how depression can affect their children's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. They received practical tips to help children stop unwanted negative thoughts and to support children using encouragement, exercise, and conversations about emotions.
